Nova FTP

The FTP web service is probably the most used method of sharing files over the Internet. That's because it offers a higher speed than the HTTP service and it's also simple to use and reliable. But in order to use the features offered by the FTP service, you will first need to install a FTP client. The one included in Windows has a command line interface and it's difficult to use by beginners. A much better idea would be to install the Nova FTP application.

This simple Windows program allows you to take advantage of the FTP features in a graphical way. The installation procedure of Nova FTP is very simple to complete, using only a couple of clicks. After installing the application, the user will be presented with a graphical interface, which resembles the one of a file manager. In order to connect to a FTP server, the user just needs to type its address, username and password.

After connecting to the desired FTP service, the user will be able to send and receive files from the FTP server using drag and drop. For making it easier to connect to an already accessed FTP server, the program uses tabs displayed in the lower part of the interface. Selecting any of the tabs will immediately take you to that specific FTP server, without needing to retype the address, username and password.

What's more, the user can create various bookmarks for every FTP server. In this way, he will be able to quickly connect to any desired server. When a file is being transferred from and to the FTP server, the user can see its progress in real time, in the Download Manager.
